Original price was: $30.00.Current price is: $24.00.

This training will emphasize the importance of selecting and using assessments effectively as the foundation for individualized ABA programming. Participants will learn how different tools—whether focused on developmental milestones, broad skill mapping, or functional living skills—offer unique perspectives that guide age-appropriate programming and the development of functional, socially significant goals. The session will also highlight how thoughtful assessment selection ensures efficient use of resources and therapy hours, while avoiding misuse or overuse that can waste time and lead to programming that is not socially significant.

This course exceeds the current BCBA and BCaBA Task Lists by providing instruction in the ethical selection, administration, and interpretation of the VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, and AFLS—content not explicitly covered in existing task list items. It is behavior-analytic in nature, grounded in the principles of applied behavior analysis, and directly tied to observable and measurable behavior change. The course emphasizes ethical considerations such as cultural sensitivity, age-appropriateness, and prioritization of socially significant skills, equipping participants to make informed, ethical assessment decisions. It is designed for certified and aspiring behavior analysts, offering advanced applications that extend beyond foundational competencies while maintaining strict adherence to BACB ethical standards.
